Strategic Vision for Shavington-cum-Gresty Parish Council

** One Parish, One Community, One Vision**

Since October 2023, the Shavington-cum-Gresty Parish Council has been working closely with CHALC (Cheshire Association of Local Councils) to shape a forward-thinking vision for the community. This collaboration aims to create a roadmap that reflects the values of Shavington-cum-Gresty, establishes clear objectives, and charts a course for the future.

With a significant increase in community growth – over 47% since 2011 – and council budget expansion by almost 179% since 2017, this strategic approach is both timely and essential in ensuring the community thrives in the years to come. The vision crafted serves as a guiding light for the Parish Council’s annual plans and budgets, allowing for transparent tracking of progress and adaptability to evolving circumstances. By building upon the Parish’s existing strengths, addressing challenges, and seizing new opportunities, the Parish Council aims to create a better future for Shavington-cum-Gresty.

The strategy is divided into the following sections:

– The vision of what Shavington-cum-Gresty will be in 2029.

– The mission of how the Parish Council will achieve this vision.

– How the Parish Council will act and behave.

– The strategic goals that the Parish Council has set to achieve.
