A Neighbourhood Plan will give Shavington-cum-Gresty the power to shape the growth and development of its area.
Ours has been prepared by the Parish Council, in consultation with you, and will be used when Cheshire East Planning decides the suitability of any planning applications submitted for Shavington-cum-Gresty.
The Referendum is a legal requirement to confirm that the residents agree with the Plan and to (if approved) turn the plan into law. A majority vote in favour will determine whether Cheshire East Council should take note of the Neighbourhood Plan when determining planning applications.
When will the Referendum be held?
Covid-permitting, the Referendum date is Thursday 6th May 2021 – the same date as the 2021 Police and Crime Commissioner Elections for Cheshire East.
