Commemorative Bench

Commemorative bench in the Village Hall Garden

“Do you want to dedicate a bench in the parish to a loved one?”

“Was one of your relatives an integral part of the Shavington-cum-Gresty community in recent years and would you like to donate a bench in their name?”

This is a unique opportunity for community members of Shavington-cum-Gresty to sponsor a memorial bench in memory of a loved one.

Shavington-cum-Gresty Parish Council will take care of sitting the bench for you in a predefined location and dedicating it to your loved one.

There will be a limited number of benches available in the Parish.

Where will the bench be sited?

Shavington-cum Gresty Parish Council are currently working with Cheshire East Council to create a list of predefined locations.  The people on the waiting list will have the opportunity to select the position of their commemorative bench.

How will the bench be dedicated to my loved one?

Community members will be able to commission a plaque on their bench with their own special message.  Once agreed, Shavington-cum-Gresty Parish Council will arrange for this to be fitted onto the commemorative bench.
